Bulgaria, Lebanon Commit to Boosting Relations
President Rumen Radev outlined his nation's commitment during discussions with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, who arrived in the Bulgarian capital for bilateral consultations.
The Bulgarian leader indicated that talks encompassed multiple sectors of potential partnership, spanning economic initiatives, commercial ties, investment opportunities, defense collaboration, and agricultural development.
Both nations agreed to establish a joint commission dedicated to economic, scientific, and technical cooperation—a mechanism designed to provide structural support for enhanced bilateral coordination.
Radev and Aoun voiced mutual optimism about reinstating direct aviation connections between Beirut and Sofia, which they view as essential infrastructure for strengthening personal contacts and commercial activity between the two countries.
